Description
Hoppe Birmingham Door Handle
The Hoppe Birmingham sprung door handle is fully reversible. The handle has a simple and contemporary design with some sculpted detail, without being too elaborate or fussy. The back of the lever grip is sculptured slightly to fit your hand very nicely and allows for a comfortable and ergonomic operation.Hoppe Birmingham's lever and backplate are stainless steel for added strength. The Birmingham series are very similar to the Atlanta range, offering excellent value for money.
The Springs
The handle levers are sprung, solving the problem of a sagging door handle not returning to the horizontal position when not in use. This handle comes with one spring cassette to be used on the inside handle. Although there is only one spring cassette it will keep both internal and external levers sprung. The spring cassette on this handle is made up of three springs instead of the traditional two springs. This gives it the ability to spring both sides of the handle with just one cassette and also gives it a longer lifespan.

Technical
A full technical diagram is included in the image gallery.Door Handle Measuring Guide
When measuring your door handle on your upvc or composite door there are two key measurements which need to be correct to ensure your replacement is a perfect fit. We have included a measuring diagram in the image gallery in addition to this guide.Backplate Fixing Centres
The first measurement we refer to as the backplate fixing centres or fixing centres. This is measured by measuring from centre to centre of the fixing screws on the internal door handle. This is marked as measurement A on our measuring diagrams.
Handle Centres
The second measurement we refer to as the PZ or handle centres. This is measured from the centre of the square spindle hole or centre of the handle lever, to the centre of the circular part of your keyhole. This is marked as measurement B on our measuring diagrams.
If these two measurements match then the door handle will fit on your door perfectly.
