Protection Against Freeze & Glue Attacks
Standard cylinders and even older 3-Star rated locks (certified before the updated TS007:2024 standard) will not protect against these attacks. The Gabriel by Federal Lock is specifically engineered to stop these methods, passing the rigorous new TS007:2024 freeze and glue attack tests.
Anti Freeze
The Threat: Burglars inject water into the keyway and apply freeze spray to solidify it. The goal is to freeze the internal springs and pins, preventing the safety mechanism from firing when the lock is snapped.
The Defence: The Gabriel features a specialized isolated cam mechanism. Even if the keyway and pins are frozen solid blocks of ice, the safety clutch remains independent and active, firing instantly to lock the door upon snapping.
Anti Glue
The Threat: Cyanoacrylate adhesive is injected into the plug through the keyway, and then an activator is applied to solidify the adhesive, preventing the locking mechanism from functioning after a snap attack.
The Defence: Enhanced internal geometry prevents the glue from disabling the safety cam, ensuring the lock remains secure even when sabotaged.
