XPERT HSS long drill bits provide extra reach for drilling metals and PVCu. Made from fully ground high speed steel with a titanium nitride coating, they have a 135° tip to help position the bit accurately when starting a hole.

Long HSS Drill Bits for Extra Reach
Long series drill bits are useful when the position of the hole calls for more reach than a standard length bit provides. Select the diameter needed for the hole and check that the chosen overall length gives suitable access. A longer bit also needs careful alignment and support during drilling.
Drilling Setup and Care
Check that the bit is compatible with your drill and can be held securely in the chuck. Secure the workpiece and choose speed, pressure and lubrication to suit the material. Keep the bit aligned, clear swarf safely and avoid bending the longer shaft. Do not treat overall bit length as a confirmed maximum hole depth.
